I wore size M. The size felt like it was loose and fit my body. I was able to wear it with thin innerwear without any problems. If you want to wear thick innerwear in the middle of winter, the L size is a good fit as it has just the right amount of room. If you want to wear it with the front closed and tucked in, size M. If you want to open the front and wear it as a cover-up, I feel that size L would be better. The fabric is stretchy, so you can move around your shoulders without stress. It does not wrinkle even if you put it in a bag, so it is convenient to carry.
